A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, June 10, 2013 at the Matsche Center. Trustee Gutowski was absent. Also present: Ed Resch, Mitch Block, Ken Karpf, Danny Rew, Paula Rew, Riley Rew, Dana Rew, Orville Henderson, Arlene Henderson, Jason Barke, Joe Resch, Bernie Senoracki, Judy Senoracki, Norman Matsche
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Paula Rew represented a group of concerned citizens in regard to the blight in the Village and obvious signs of ordinance violations. Village attorney will send letters to two homeowners in regard to ordinance violations.
President Sprague will continue to consult with Shawano County Sheriff department for extra patrol coverage.
Norman Matsche checked on the status of the Matsche Center projects in progress.
Bills were referred to finance committee. VanOrder/Rew m/s/c to approve vouchers. Roll call vote - all yes.
Bids were received from Kapur & Associates and Jeff Musson for professional services to contract for Bwd Hotel demolition at $7,525.00 plus additional costs and $4,500.00 respectively. Rew/Behm m/s/c to accept proposal of Jeff Musson for $4,500.00. Roll call vote - all yes.
Trustee Block continues to work on obtaining information and cost for ditch line project.
One bid was received for the 2000 Chevy truck in the amount of $300.00.
Block/Rew m/s/c to accept bid from Ed Resch providing no other bids were received or sell to highest bidder. Roll call vote - all yes.
Rew/VanOrder m/s/c to require all non-profit organizations to make a deposit when using the Matsche Center. Roll call vote - all yes.
Rew/VanOrder m/s/c to grant Class A liquor licenses to Backes Foods and Remington Oil Co. Inc., Class B licenses to
Chet & Emil's Inc. and PJ's Pub. Operators licenses to Jennifer Jacobson, Timothy Jacobson, Douglas Praslowicz,
Jeremy Praslowicz, Reid Praslowicz, Allison Praslowicz, April Fandrey, Edwin Resch, Sandra Meverden, Robert Ecker,
David Backes, Daniel Backes, Mary Anne Willcome and Barbara Praslowicz. Roll call vote - all yes.
Rew/Block m/s/c to adopt revised Responsible Unit Recycling Ordinance. Roll call vote - all yes.
VanOrder/Block m/s/c to adopt Compliance Maintenance Annual Report Resolution #13-6-1. Roll call vote - all yes.
Vandalism has occurred in the bathrooms in the park. Doors will now be locked at night and issue revisited at the next meeting.
