A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, August 26, 2013 at the Matsche Center. All members were present. Also present: Ed Resch, Mitch Block, Ken Karpf , Daryl Staeven
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Bills were referred to finance committee. VanOrder/Rew m/s/c to approve vouchers. Roll call vote - all yes
Performance bond was received from Guelig Waste Removal so Hotel demolition can continue.
Cost estimates for surveying at the ballpark were received from two companies. Reland $1000, REI $3,000.
Ellis will not have an estimate for the ballpark project until the end of September.
Catch basin covers are complete.
Railroad Street project is still waiting on utility locations.
Matsche Center Steering Committee will hold a fundraiser dinner on March 15, 2014.
Discussion was held in regard to animal control in the village when animals are at large.
Block/Resch m/s/c to have clerk compile a list of all water user property owners. We will have Doug Carlson indicate if water shut off valve location is known or unknown. Roll call vote - all yes.
Trustee Block inquired about the new ambulance that the BAES has purchased. A reminder to read quarterly BAES minutes at board meetings.
Block/Behm m/s/c to allow Jeff Musson to have lowest qualified bidder to proceed with bell tower project after bid opening on August 29, 2013. Roll call vote - all yes.
