A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, November 25, 2013 at the Matsche Center. All members were present. Also present: Ed Resch, Mitch Block, Ken Karpf , Dan Rew, Chuck & Tracy Rajek
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Tracy Rajek will be opening a specialty food store in the Village. She asked if any permits are needed and would be interested in a Class A liquor license.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were read and referred to finance committee. Rew/VanOrder m/s/c to approve vouchers. Roll call vote - all yes
Nothing new on the GPS
Estimate from McNeil West Construction for concession stand at ball field was presented. No mention was made of dugout replacement.
President Sprague presented drafts of shed to be built with WWTP.
Holiday event will be held at Matsche Center on Dec. 1 for ornament making, tree decorating and treats.
Gutowski/VanOrder m/s/c to adopt Ordinance 13-11-01 Entitled Public Nuisances. Roll call vote - all yes with Rew voting no.
Four benches will be purchased for bell tower. Anyone is welcome to donate funds towards them.
Block/VanOrder m/s/c to adopt budget as presented with change to hydrant rental amount and set levy as presented. Roll call vote - all yes.
Rew/Behm m/s/c to adopt bond resolution relating to the collection of state and county taxes by the Village Treasurer. Roll call vote - all yes.
Mitch Block is to purchase 32 water meters at the cost of $120.00 each.
Salt/Sand mix will be purchased from Hanson Sanitation at a cost of $23.00 per yard.
