A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, October 28, 2013 at the Matsche Center. Trustee VanOrder was absent. Also present: Ed Resch, Mitch Block, Ken Karpf, Wayne Clark
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m.
Wayne Clark reported that the American Legion will not be using the Matsche Center for storage but would like to hold their winter meetings there as their building is not heated.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were read and referred to finance committee.
Jeff Musson will be doing a final check on the bell tower project on Friday. Walkway has been installed. Planters to be placed.
Fill to be placed on the south end of Matsche Center and rough grade done. Flag pole project will be next.
No report back from Attorney on nuisance ordinance changes.
Railroad St. ditch line on hold.
Instructions are needed for GPS operation.
Behm/Resch m/s/c to accept proposal from Advance Construction for sludge removal at sewer plant at a cost of $87,000.00.
Roll call vote - all yes.
Mitch will do testing and draining so project can get under way.
Trustee Behm ordered a used sampler online for $550.00.
Discussion was held on cost of new storage building to be built at sewer plant site.
Mitch is getting bids for meters and hydrants.
