PROCEEDING OF REGULAR MEETING MAY 12,2014 (unofficial until approved at next meeting)
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, May 12, 2014 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Ed Resch, Chris Jensen, Don Schmidt, M/M Ben Ogiba
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.
Minutes were read and approved. Bills were read and referred to finance committee. Behm/Barke m/s/c to approve vouchers. Roll call vote - all yes.
Table, garbage cans & flag pole have been ordered for the bell tower area. Check was received from Jim Peasley for logs sold from Birchwood. He will probably be working another month.
Sludge pond draining is in a rain delay. Project must be complete on May 16th.
Mike Raynovic was not agreeable to grading his parcel and the village parcel on Main St. together for better drainage. Water will probably have to be pumped from the area so ground can dry up properly.
Residents from Rebecca St. asked for a cul-de-sac or at least a turn around area be made at the end of the street when repairs are made to the sink hole. Three applications were received for the part-time position. Personnel committee will review and make recommendation to the board. Barke/Burazin m/s/c to pay $10.00 per hour for lawn mowing assistance, if needed, before part-time help is hired. Roll call vote - all yes.
Jerry Remington is looking to rent his building on Hwy 45 for fireworks sales. Proper permits need to be procured.
Barke/Cieslewicz m/s/c to pay Carol Resch $25.00 monthly to clean the Matsche Center. Roll call vote - all yes.
Fire numbers need to be posted for the remaining lots in the Corazalla property south of Hwy N.
$556.22 has been received for recycling grant.
MDA ride will be coming through the Village on Sat., May 17th, 600 riders are expected to eat at Chet & Emil's.
