PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING APRIL 10, 2017 A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, April 10, 2017 at the Matsche Center. All members were present. Also present: Ed Resch, Tom Gatz, Chris Jensen President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. Oath of Office was issued to Ron Resch, Agnes Burazin, Karl Behm & Mike Sprague. Minutes were read and approved. Bills were presented.Burazin/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote - all yes. Discussion was held in regard to the basketball court & Birchwood Park bathrooms. Bid opening was held April 6, 2017 for the ballpark project. Tradewell Construction $245,000.00, SD Ellenbecker $246,278.00 & Scherrer Construction $359,777.00. Additional cost for demolition, cabinetry, paving, painting, grandstand seating, fencing, retaining walls, first base dugout, roofing, state plan approvals & architect fees will bring project to approximately $370,000.00. Schmidt, R. Resch m/s/c to accept bid of Tradewell Construction and additional costs to proceed with ballpark project. Roll call vote - all yes. Library Consolidation resolution was signed by Village President & Clerk. Burazin/Wruck m/s/c to accept Cason & Assoc. contract for pond management services for $3,605.00. Roll call vote - all yes. Behm/Burazin m/s/c to approve fireworks permit for AC Fireworks at 314 US Hwy 45 from 5/15/17- 9/4/17. Roll call vote - approved with Schmidt voting no. Receipts for March were reported.Schmidt/C. PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING MARCH 27, 2017 A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, March 27, 2017 at the Matsche Center. Trustees Burazin & Wruck were absent. Also present: Ed Resch, Tom Gatz, Josh Benes President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes were read and approved. Bills were presented.C. Resch/Behm m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote - all yes. Birchwood Park bathrooms were discussed. The visitors dugout will need to be added as an addendum to the ballpark bid. A Dumpster has been ordered for the ballpark demolition and for yard waste. Bids for demolition are being gathered. Trustee Schmidt is working on getting costs for Birchwood pond maintenance. Outside service for village lawn mowing services would cost $30-$50 per hour. Schmidt/Behm m/s/c to hire Brenna Behreandt for lawn mowing at $10 per hour. Roll call vote - all yes. $57,000 in grant funds are still available. Costs are being obtained for televising equipment, generator for lift station, lawnmower, waterproof manhole covers at WWTP, cement or blacktop driveway for dumping area at WWTP. Matsche Center bathroom repairs were discussed. Farmer's Market has been discontinued at this time. Anyone interested in getting it started again should contact the village board.
