5/9/22 Board minutes

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING MAY 9, 2022
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, May 9, 2022 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Tom Gatz, Chris Jensen & Richard Leih
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were presented.
R. Resch/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills. Roll call vote – all yes.
Paperwork was received from the Attorney. Signatures required.
Behm/Klumpyan m/s/c to accept bid from PSI Concrete for $2,800.00 to place 2 ADA ramps and repour sidewalks at ball park and $2,930.00 to place ADA ram and pour sidewalk by the school parking lot. Half of this is to be paid for by the school. Roll call vote – motion carried with R.Resch voting no.
Chemicals need to be added to the Birchwood Pond.
Street sweeper will start on Tuesday.
Hot water heater needs to be repaired at the ball park.
Schmidt/Behm m/s/c to grant picnic license to Birnamwood Baseball Team for May-Oct.
Roll call vote – all yes.
Sewer cleaners will be here next week.
27 Certified letters were sent for delinquent dogs.
Building permits were received from Anthony Donat & Jody Dombrowski.
Behm/R.Resch move to go to closed session at 8:10 p.m.
R.Resch/Schmidt moved to go to open session at 9:05 p.m.
Schmidt/Behm m/s/c to hire Conner Opper for the DPW assistant at $18.00 per hour, 1 week vacation after 1 year, insurance and holidays and required to get his CDL license and water/sewer certifications. Roll call vote – all yes.
Receipts were reported for April.

4/25/22 Board minutes

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING APRIL 25, 2022
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, April 25, 2022 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Tom Gatz, Chris Jensen
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m.
Jody Dombrowski received the oath of office.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were presented.
R. Resch/Behm m/s/c to approve bills. Roll call vote – all yes.
A partial bid was received from PSI Concrete. More information is needed.
Still waiting for papers from Attorney.
Chris will notify waste haulers that we will no longer take waste as of May 1st.
2 applications have been received. Committee will set up interviews.
Questions asked if fish are needed for pond and if speed sign is out.
25 letters were delivered for delinquent water bills.
Board of Review will be April 28, 4:00-6:00 p.m.
Building permits were received from Terry Lake, Jesse Cummings, Randy Mahan, Mark Klumpyan
Dumpster has been delivered for yard waste.

4/11/22 Board minutes

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING APRIL 11, 2022
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, April 11, 2022 at the Matsche Center.
Trustee Dombrowski was absent.
Also present: Tom Gatz, Chris Jensen, Rueben Eckardt, Luke Reimer
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m.
Ed Resch & Mark Klumpyan received the oath of office.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Tom Gatz asked that a letter be sent to Joshua Weix letting him know that no parking is allowed in the alley.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were presented.
R. Resch/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills. Roll call vote – all yes.
Rueben Eckardt reiterated his complaints from previous meetings.
Main St. repaving will be done mid-July.
Water tank inspection and cleaning will be done in August.
Clerk reported that 60 letters were mailed for delinquent dogs & cats.
A complaint was received that no signage was place by the road dips on Elm St.
Clerk presented cost estimates for Public works assistant.
Trustee Resch reported that the dumpster company left big ruts in the park after removing
a dumpster located behind the bakery.
Sheriff Chernetski joined the meeting and asked if there are any issues or complaints.
Behm/Klumpyan m/s/c to grant Les Cigel fireworks permit for May 26-September 5. Motion carried with Trustee Schmidt voting no.
Receipts were reported for March.
