The following is a list of projects the Village Board has completed or are in progress. If you have questions, please contact the board or attend one of the regular meetings.
2022 Scheduled Projects
Legion property acquisition completed
Ballpark wheel chair access
Light on flag pole in ballpark
Old village hall front steps to be repaired
Determine the use of ARPA Funds
Replacement of the lighting in the Matsche Center with energy efficient LED lights
Refurbish Village wells number 3 and 4
Water tower will be drained and inspected
Develop a procedure and a form for residents and businesses to display events on the Village Electronic sign, form will be available on the Village website Zoning and Building Ordinance book brought up to date.
2021 Completed Projects
Light installed on flag pole at Matsche center
Purchased a new Village truck and new Fire Engine
Completion of water diversion project in Corazalla subdivision which had started in 2020
Black top a number of streets Rew lane, Corazalla Drive, Mathew Drive, High Street
Opened up the streets to ATV-UTV traffic
Trimmed large branches from tree on SW corner of Maple and Main to increase visibility.
Painted the Fire Hydrants
Addressed numerous animal issues within the village
Addressed garbage issues
Approved 2022 budget
Removed broken picnic bench from park
Graded and leveled the drive and the parking lot at Birchwood Park
Stocked the fishing pond at Birchwood Park
Added a water line to the community garden
Ordered new safety equipment using the grant from
(LWMMI), League of Wisconsin Municipalities Insurance
Hired a new Village Assessor, Todd Anderson, Up North
Assessments
Received ARPA funds from the State
Approved expansion of American Legion property to include abandoned area adjacent to the legion property Created ID Badges with photo for all Village employees
Replaced exit/emergency lights in the Matsche Center
Purchased Maxi Aides for the Matsche center to accommodate those with hearing issues
Completed installing new Merry go Rounds in the parks
Purchased new voting machine per the State elections
Looked into options and cost for wheel chair access to the ball park from street parking-tabled until 2022 Changed Insurance companies for the Village saving the Village approximately $6000 annually
Revised and updated numerous Village ordinances
Changed phone carriers to reduce monthly expense
Addressed ball park issues with teams
Contracted with Harter’s for trash service
Continued use of Speed monitoring device with results being shared with the sheriff’s office resulting in increased patrol on Hwy 45 and within the Village
Replaced water heater in concession stand at park Backes lot purchased by Chet and Emil’s for parking
