1/25/21 Board minutes

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 25, 2021
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, January 25, 2021
at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Ed Resch, Tom Gatz & Rueben Eckardt
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Tom Gatz commented on snow plowing issues.
Rueben Eckardt questioned meeting postings, board size, number of meetings held, condition of Co. Hwy N
and Village COVID response.
A dog on High St is running at large and attacking individuals.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were presented.
R.Resch/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes.
Trustee Schmidt stated he would like to have face masks required in all public buildings. No action was taken.
The netting at the ballpark needs to be repaired.
Trustee Schmidt checked into kinds of chemicals and costs for Birchwood pond. He also spoke with the windmill guy in regard to adding an extension for another aerator. We will need to submit our order for fish soon.
Trees along Maple St and several other areas in the Village need to be trimmed.
Water tower inspection will be due soon, may be time for the tower to be repainted.
Field St could use some repairs.
Clerk reported from auditors that the storm sewer repairs done in 2020 are not payable with sewer funds. Therefore the Village needs to pay the sewer from the general fund for these costs.
Behm/Klumpyan m/s/c to delete outstanding fire invoice from 2019. Roll call vote – all yes.

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 11, 2021
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, January 11, 2021
at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Ed Resch, Tom Gatz & Chris Jensen
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were presented.
R.Resch/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes.
Phone service with BCN can not be cancelled until after the 25th. Calls have been made to Charter.
Indecent Exposure ordinance has been updated.
Hunting ordinance was reviewed and will be adopted at the next meeting.
Profit & Loss Budget vs. Actual for year 2020 was presented.
Audit will be this week.
Tax collections are in progress and clerk/treasurer will be at the Matsche Center on Jan. 23rd from 9-12
for in person collections.
Next meeting January 25th.
Receipts for December were reported.

12/28/20 Board minutes

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 28, 2020
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, December 28, 2020
at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Ed Resch, Tom Gatz, Chris Jensen, Deputy Chernetski & Jon Block.
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Some cars are still parking in the street right of way. Vehicles will be ticketed.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were presented.
R.Resch/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes.
Harter’s Contract has been signed and submitted.
Sale of Store lot to Chet & Emil’s is complete.
The Title Co and Ann Schmidt will to the paperwork for the American Legion property.
Schmidt/Behm m/s/c to cancel contract with Cason and do a 1 year trial of pond maintenance on our own.
Roll call vote – all yes.
Consider doing a windmill extension for another aerator.
BCN contract up for renewal. We will look into getting phone service through Charter. Contact to be made
with school for library and BAES for their lines.
Nomination papers due January 5th.
