PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING JUNE 28, 2021
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, June 14, 2021 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present:Tom Gatz, Luke Reimer & Chris Jensen
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were presented.
Schmidt/R. Resch m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes.
ARPA funds received $40,925.40.
A bid was received for ballpark handicap assessibility for $4,000.00 for 3 entries. I revised bid will be requested for 2 entries.
Merry-go=round at Birchwood Park is complete.
Flags at the fireworks shop are in the viewing area for drivers. They will be asked to move them.
Schmidt/Klumpyan m/s/c to adopt ordinance #21-6-28 for Garbage & Refuse Collection. Roll call vote – all yes.
Klumpyan/Behm m/s/c to adopt ordinance #19-1-1 for Licensing & other regulations of animals in it’s amended form. Roll call vote- all yes
$554.77 was received from SCHS for our share of dog licenses.
Building permits were received from Mark Klumpyan, Jody Dombrowski & Lori Mueller.
Fireworks permit was issued to Mark Klumpyan.
Behm/R. Resch m/s/c to approve picnic licenses for Schairer’s Autumn Acres, American Legion & St. Philomena’s. Roll call vote- all yes
Behm/Klumpyan m/s/c to approve Class A Liquor licenses to Remington Oil Co & Dolgencorp, Class B liquor license to Chet &
Emil’s Inc. Cigarette licenses to Remington Oil Co., Dolgencorp & Chet & Emil’s. Operator’s licenses to: Reid Praslowicz, Allison Praslowicz, Ed Resch, April Resch, Robert Ecker, Cindy Lex, Dorothy Resch, Carla Blumenberg, Elizabeth Turnley, Tanya Opper, Kaitlynn Low, Tristin Radtke, John Greene, Deann Waldner & Tammy Uttecht. Roll call vote – all yes with E. Resch
abstaining.
R. Resch/Behm m/s/c to change zoning at 361 Wausau St from Commercial to Residential. Roll call vote – all yes.
Trustee Dombrowski will check into options for a sound system or listening devices for the Matsche Center.
Adopt CMAR Resolution #21-6-1.
A complaint was received that some garbage/recycling was left in the cans at the Matsche Center after someone used the center.

6/14/21 Board minutes

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING JUNE 14, 2021
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, June 14, 2021 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present:Tom Gatz, Luke Reimer, Wayne Clark, Marvin Matsche & Ann Lake
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Wayne Clark stated the American Legion is replacing the cement approach in front of their building and also will be replacing
the sidewalk. He requested specs for sidewalk repair.
Ann Lake and Marvin Matsche asked that the zoning on the property at 361 Wausau St be changed from commercial to residential.
This change will be listed on the agenda for June 28, 2021 and be voted on at that time.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were presented.
Schmidt/E. Resch m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes.
Phone service hook up with Charter is complete.
ARPA funds application is due June 18, 2021.
President Sprague has spoke with the attorney in regard to the American Legion property lines.
Waiting on bid for ball park cement work and Old Village hall steps repair.
North Branch Electric will be wiring the sound system at the Ball Park.
Karen Schairer donated the flowers and Plover Valley 4-H planted them at the Matsche Center.
The electrical service for the pond aerators will be disconnected.
Another dog complaint was received. Chris had spoke with them but now a letter will be sent.
Building permit was received from Dylan Walkush.
Receipts for May were reported.
Next meeting June 28, 2021.
