PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 23, 2021
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, August 23, 2021 at the Matsche Center.
Trustee Dombrowski was absent.
Also present: Tom Gatz, Diane Haas, Richard Leih & Chris Jensen.
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Diane Haas had questions in regard to the GPS locating of the Matsche Center, Cell tower
working and inappropriate sign on Elm St.
Richard Leih questioned if approval was needed for certain projects on his property & blinds for windows at the Matsche Center.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were presented.
R. Resch/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills. Roll call vote – all yes.
No word on any of the outstanding bids.
Discussion was held in regard to a resident with delinquent water payments. Water will be shut off.
A question was asked about Trick or Treat hours as Halloween falls on a Sunday this year. We will check to see what other municipalities are doing.
Discussion on forming a committee to find a WWTP assistant.

8/9/21 Board minutes
PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 9, 2021
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, August 9, 2021 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Tom Gatz, Luke Reimer & Chris Jensen.
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were presented.
R. Resch/Behm m/s/c to approve bills. Roll call vote – all yes.
No word yet from the attorney in regard to the American Legion property. Time to find another option.
Merry-go-round is completed in the Village Park. No response for the bid for Village Hall maintenance and wheelchair access for ball park. Additional or different base needs to be added in the walking areas at the ball park.
President Sprague spoke with Nordin & Assoc. about Sarah St. and Matthew Dr. Apparently the final papers were not sent to the County for filing.
DNR has stated that the limits may be changing on discharge levels.
Schmidt/Dombrowski m/s/c to approve clean out of sewer pump for $930.00. Roll call vote-all yes.
Gravel needs to be added at Birchwood Park driveway and parking areas, alley between Wausau & Birch St., and by the Village garage driveway. Tober Rd. needs grading.
Building permit received from Chet & Emil’s.
Fireworks permit was issued to Nick Stubbe.
Trustee Schmidt stated we need to start thinking about getting someone trained for when Chris is not available.
Clerk will order 3 more hearing assist aids.
Receipts were reported for July.

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING JULY 26, 2021
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, July 26, 2021 at the Matsche Center.
Trustee Ron Resch was absent.
Also present: Tom Gatz, Wayne Clark & Deputy Chernetski
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Trustee E. Resch presented a hearing device for hearing impaired individuals to wear.
Wayne Clark spoke in regard to sidewalks by the American Legion.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were presented.
E. Resch/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills. Roll call vote – all yes.
Paperwork was presented for members to sign for the new checking account for ARPA funds.
Suggested uses: BAES, well repairs, payment to Village employees who worked throughout
the pandemic.
Schmidt/Behm m/s/c to purchase $100.00 worth of minnows for Birchwood pond.
Roll call vote – all yes.
North Branch Electric installed new sound system at the ball park and donated labor for
project. Materials were paid for out of the fundraiser account.
The cooler and heating element in the concession in the Village Park need repairs.
Fan filters need to be cleaned.
President Sprague contacted Nordin in regard to the streets not on the Village maps.
Trustee Dombrowski had some questions in regard to the park ordinances.
Marathon County is doing some redistricting but will not affect us.
Notification was received from Shawano County the Village has one property in
foreclosure for non-payment of taxes.
Building permits were received from Dale Below and WPS.
