PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING JULY 11, 2022
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, July 11, 2022 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Conner Opper, Chris Jensen, Richard Gruber
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Richard Grubar stated he has received both his garbage carts.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were presented.
R.Resch/Behm m/s/c to approve bills. Roll call vote – all yes.
The Old Village Hall has water leaking into the basement.
President Sprague spoke to the attorney in regard to the solar farm.
Garbage cans need to be put back outside at Matsche Center.
The privacy fence at the ball park looks very nice.
DNR approval for Well 4 rehab has been granted. Work should be done by the end of the week.
County will be working on Main Street this week.
Schmidt/Behm m/s/c to fill, roll and layer 145′ on Lyons Rd for $4,500.00. Roll call vote – all yes.
LRIP grant was approved in the amount of $9,575.25.
E.Resch/Dombrowski m/s/c to grant Class B wine license to Schairer Autumn Acres for August-October. Roll call vote – all yes
1 Village property is in foreclosure proceedings by the County.
Second payment of $40,925.40 was received for ARPA funds.
Conner’s phone and insurance have been taken care of.
Discussion was held about the loss of water and wondering how many swimming pools are being filled.
Trustee Dombrowski presented a draft letter that could be sent to residents with ES funding information.
President Sprague has a meeting at the bank tomorrow for the EMS funding loan.
A couple of Village properties have building projects in the works and have not obtained building permits.
A credit card for Village purchases should be applied for.
Receipts for June were reported.

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING JUNE 27, 2022
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, June 27, 2022 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Conner Opper, Chris Jensen, Richard Gruber, George Lenzner
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
George Lenzner Shawano County Chief Deputy introduced himself as a candidate for Sheriff.
Richard Grubar stated he only received one garbage cart.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were presented.
Schmidt/Behm m/s/c to approve bills. Roll call vote – all yes.
Complaint was received in regard to the Matsche Center not being cleaned. Deposits will be required for non-profits. Clerk will notify previous user about not cleaning up.
It was recommended to purchase more street cones with safety grant funds.
Work still needs to be done on old Village Hall.
Board went outside to view heaving blacktop in parking lot of Matsche Center.
There doesn’t appear to be any fish in the pond.
Merry go rounds and windmill need to be greased.
Behm/R.Resch m/s/c to approve Class A licenses to Remington Oil & Dolgencorp. Class B license to Chet & Emil’s. Cigarette licenses to Remington Oil, Dolgencorp & Chet & Emil’s. Operator’s licenses to Reid Praslowicz, Allison Praslowicz, Ed Resch, April Resch, Robert Ecker, Cindy Lex, Dorothy Resch, Carla Blumenberg, Alan Jones, Tanya Opper, Deann Waldner, Crystal Lemke & Jeremy Timm. Roll call vote – all yes with E. Resch abstaining.
Conner needs to submit proof of insurance to Clerk.
Klumpyan/Schmidt m/s/c to borrow $30,000.00 for EMS funding. Roll call vote – all yes.
A phone line needs to be added for Conner Opper.
Discussion was held in regard to a Village resident having a solar farm developed on their property.
Klumpyan/Dombrowski m/s/c to adopt resolution #22-06-01 for CMAR. Roll call vote – all yes.
