PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING MARCH 25, 2024
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, March 25, 2024 at the Matsche Center.
Trustee Schmidt was absent.
Also present: None
Meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Minutes were read and approved from March 11th 2024
Bills were presented.
R Resch /E Resch m/s/c to approve bills. Roll call vote – all yes
Conner is getting quotes for Old Village Hall landscaping and rain gutters
Discussed possibility of using seepage cells, will revisit in April
Library reading walk will happen, about 3 stories for the summer
Waiting on quote for water treatment plant door
Power polls are in the process of being moved
R.Resch/Klumpyan m/s/c to raise reconnection fee to $50.00. Roll call vote – all yes
Cieslewicz /Dombrowski m/s/c to allow Deputy Clerk Erika DeNovi to sign up for a 3 year online Clerk Certification class for $500.00
Discussed using ARPA funds for our share of the new ambulance
New code book should be ready in about 2 months
A $350 discount will be available on the Kubota tractor in April.
2 individuals are interested in working for the Village for the summer.
A phone line will be installed in the Matsche Center soon.
Floodplain maps were presented, public meeting will be held April 8, 2024 @ 6:45 p.m.
Election is Tuesday April 2nd.
Easter Egg hunt being held Saturday, March 30th behind the Matsche Center hosted by Plover Valley 4H.

A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, March 11, 2024 at the Matsche Center.

Meeting was called to order at 7:08 p.m.

Minutes were read and approved from February 26, 2024
Bills were presented.
R. Resch/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills. Roll call vote – all yes
Discussed rain gutter for old Village Hall
Library reading walk at Birchwood Park: details being obtained
Hydrant move is now done, waiting on quote for sewer plant door
Water shut off notice went out with last billing, shut off letters to go out soon/shut off start date is 4-15-24 starting at 8am
Power poles on Hwy N and Hwy 45 will be relocated this week
New Village phone number in process, cost of installation is $99, and monthly bill will be $39.

Ordinances: Building permit: non compliance fees to stay the same / Traffic: same as Shawano County /Lot Size’s to stay the same
Waiting on a quote from Safe Alert for point to point camera system

Receipts for February were reported.
