A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, July 22, 2024 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Conner Opper
Meeting was called to order at 7:15 p. m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Minutes were read and approved from July 8, 2024
Bills were presented.
R. Resch/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills. Roll call vote – all yes
Mike Sprague, Jody Dombrowski, Edwin Resch, and Don Schmidt met with Mike Block to discuss futute work at Village Hall. Next step is to fix the lawn sloping so water does not drain into building. Will not lay new cement or install rain gutters at this time.
Mike Block will replace cement in sidewalk across from the school.
Cieslewicz/Klumpyan m/s/c to proceed with Alternative 2 – Convert Discharge to Seepage Cell for sewer plant upgrade. Roll call vote – all yes
Overhead door at sewer plant has been installed.
Records need to be kept by fire department of water usage.
Conner contacted RC Pavers in regard to repairing blacktop on Field St, Village Hall parking lot, main street.
Discussion was held in regards to sidewalk replacement in the Village. A plan will be formed.
Building permit issued to Conner Opper.
Resignation was received from Erika DeNovi on July 14, 2024. Her pay will be prorated for the month of July with subtraction of fee for Clerk class.
Trustee Dombrowski has posted ad’s for clerk/treasurer position around the area, on social
media and will publish ads this week. Also to post message on Village sign.
Conner Opper will be working four ten hour days in November and December in lieu of paternity leave.

Reviewed original bid from Mike Block for Village Hall work.
Mike Sprague, Jody Dombrowski, Edwin Resch, and Don Schmidt
to meet with Mike Block on July 10, 2024 at 9:00 a. m. to discuss
future work for the Village Hall.
Conner is obtaining pricing on new lawn mowers to replace the oldest one
Green Bay Pipe & TV cleaned 6043 feet of sewer pipes at a cost of $5,793.04
Waste Water Treatment Plant Facility Plan Upgrades & Discharge Modification option
will be voted on at the next Village meeting on July 22, 2024.
Conner will be posting signs around the Waste water treatment plant and yard waste dumpster to make it clear that the yard waste dumpster is for Village residents only and that we now have video monitoring
Stratford sign quote to fix the Village of Birnamwood sign is $7930.00. Insurance approved the repairs.
Building permit issued to Tyler DeBroux.
Reid Praslowicz is now a member of the Village Planning Committee
Brian Rew is now a member of the Village Housing Authority

A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, June 24, 2024
at the Matsche Center.
All members were present. Also present: Conner Opper, Jeff Reeseman & Nick Novy
Meeting was called to order at 7:35 p. m. Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Bid opening for the work on Field St:
American Asphalt: Project #1: $28,052.40 and Project #2: $27,492.40, RC Pavers: Project #1: $23,836.00 and Project #2: $22,167.48
Midstate Asphalt: Project #1: $32,500.00 and Project #2: $32,500.00, Northeast Asphalt: Project #1: $21,925.00 and Project #2: $23,200.00
Minutes were read and approved with corrections from June 10, 2024
Corrections: Green Bay Pipe and TV Cost $4,500.00, The WWTP annual report of an F only refers to the phosphorus levels,
The public hearing is for the WWTP Facility Planning on upgrades and modifications on 6/24/2024 not 6/27/2024.
The lease for Northeast Asphalt is for $750.00 per month.

Waste Water Treatment Plant Public Hearing
PROCEEDINGS OF PUBLIC HEARING JUNE 24, 2024
A public hearing regarding the Waste Water Treatment Plant
Facility Plan Upgrades & Discharge Modification was held
on Monday evening, June 24, 2024 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Conner Opper, Jeff Reeseman, Nick Novy, Jon Strand
and Alex Roll who was present via Zoom.
Public hearing was called to order at 6:30 p. m.
A power point presentation was given by CBS Squared representatives
Jon Strand & Alex Roll regarding the upgrades and modifications needed
at the Waste water treatment plant to meet the new DNR Requirements for our permit.
Five possible options were given. The board will be deciding on an option at the next
Village Board meeting on July 8, 2024.
Public hearing adjourned at 7:30 p. m.
