Trustee Karl Behm has filed notification of noncandidacy for Village Trustee for the next election to be held 4/4/23.

This means there will be an open position on the board and candidates are welcome to file papers with the Village Clerk before the January 3, 2023 deadline to run for the Trustee position.

11/28/22 Board minutes

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 28, 2022
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, November 28, 2022 at the Matsche Center.
Trustee Behm was absent.
Also present: Tom Gatz, Jon Block, Richard Martens, Conner Opper & Chris Jensen
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Richard Martens informed the Board of the DOT’s plans for an interchange and MMM & Hwy 29.
Bills were presented.
Schmidt/Dombrowski m/s/c to approve bills. Roll call vote – all yes.
Safety grant will be submitted.
We do not qualify for a simplified rate case increase for the water utility.
Building permits were received from Reid Praslowicz & Randy Wruck.
New street decorations are needed or maybe rewire the current ones.
Next meeting December 12, 2022.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that at an election to be held in the Village of Birnamwood, on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, the following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed. The term for village president and village trustee begins April 9, 2023. All terms are for two years unless otherwise indicated.

11/14/22 Board meeting

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 14, 2022
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, November 14, 2022 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Melissa Tracy, Conner Opper & Chris Jensen
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Melissa Tracy from the Birnamwood Library gave an update of activities taking place.
Bills were presented.
R.Resch/Behm m/s/c to approve bills. Roll call vote – all yes.
No bids were received for snow removal.
Trustee Dombrowski received estimates for zoning update of $5,400 and with ordinances $10,000. She will have a representative attend a meeting.
Questions in regard to building inspections for additions, remodeling, etc.
Building permit was received from Caroline Pfefferle.
The Wisconsin Towns Associate Survey was reviewed.
We need to purchase 10 POW flags @ $16.00 & 20 USA flags @ $20.00.
Levy & Budget calculations were reviewed. Behm/Klumpyan m/s/c to set levy & adopt Budget. Roll call vote – all yes.
Receipts were reported for October.
Next meeting November 28, 2022.
