Board minutes 4/22/19

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING APRIL 22, 2019
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, April 22, 2019
at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Tom Gatz, Jody Dombrowski,  Ed Resch, Dennis Wruck, Larry & Cathy Kessen,
Chris Jensen, Vicki Wruck, Brian Holbrook & Lawrence Hable.
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m. following the special meeting for assessor’s plat.
Trustee Diers verified that the meeting has been posted. 
Minutes were read and approved.  
Bills were presented.
Schmidt/Behm m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes. 
Suggestion was made to mark off last parking space in front of Jan’s and Main St. to allow for visiability at intersection.
Larry & Cathy Kessen asked for some road repairs to be made on Matthew Dr. 
Jody Dombrowski shared info. on the open meetings law. 
Spring is here and ball park projects need to get underway. 
Discussion was held and decision made to put new merry-go-rounds in Village Park and Birchwood Park.
Diers/R. Resch m/s/c to adopt ATV/UTV ordinance. Roll call vote – all yes. 
Schmidt/Behm m/s/c to hire Shawano County Highway Dept. to do repairs on Cty Rd N and patch blacktopping
for approximately $7,000.00.  Roll call vote – all yes. 
Committees were reviewed and updated. 
Diers/Ecker m/s/c to grant fireworks sale permit to AC Fireworks – Lester Cigel from 5/24-9/8. Roll call vote –
all yes. 
Ecker/Diers m/s/c to grant alcohol license to Birnamwood Baseball Team. Roll call vote – all yes.
Open Book will be held May 15 and Board of Review will be held May 22 from 3:00-5:00 both days.
Board meeting scheduled for May 27th, Memorial Day, will be re-scheduled for Tuesday, May 28th.
Village residents have asked for repairs and resurfacing to be done on the tennis courts.

Board minutes 4/8/19

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING APRIL 8, 2019
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, April 8, 2019
at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Tom Gatz, Jody Dombrowski, Becky Yonker, Diane Haas, Rueben Eckardt, Ed Resch
Chris Jensen, Vicki Wruck, Brian Holbrook & Miriam Nelson.
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Trustee Diers verified that the meeting has been posted. 
Oath of Office was issued to Trustees Ron Resch, Don Schmidt, Karl Behm & President Sprague.
Brian Holbrook of Birdseye Aviation presented of photo of the Village that he took last fall.
President Sprague reported that after talking with the insurance agent no help is available for
Becky Yonker’s water/sewer damage. 
Jody Dombrowski suggested committees and businesses be posted on the website. There is still
an issue of loose dogs in the area and atv’s with children with no helmets or restraints on streets. 
Rueben Eckardt once again questioned postings of meetings and issues at the ball park. 
Minutes were read and approved.  
Bills were presented.
Behm/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes. 
Letters will be sent to all residents in the assessor’s plot update for a meeting.
Diers/Ecker m/s/c to purchase 2-8′ merry-go-rounds instead of 1-10′ one. 
Roll call vote – all yes except Schmidt voting no.
Discussion was held on sewer lining project. 
R. Resch/Diers m/s/c to purchase 20×30 Village photo with oak frame for $430.00.
Roll call vote – all yes.
March receipts were reported.
Ecker/C. Resch m/s/c to adjourn at 8:50 p.m.

Board minutes 3/25/19

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING MARCH 25, 2019
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, March 25, 2019
at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Tom Gatz, Don Schmidt, Jody Dombrowski, Becky Yonker, Diane Haas & Ed Resch
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Trustee Diers verified that the meeting has been posted. 
Becky Yonker spoke in regard to the sewer backup in her basement. 
Jody Dombrowski asked if it is allowable to create a berm in her yard to direct water flow.
Minutes were read and approved.  
Cost of water meter for bulk sales will be approximately $600 less. 
Bills were presented.
Burazin/Behm m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes. 
Cost of publication for assessor’s plat is $1,733.40.
Chris looked around and we can get 2 8′ Merry-go-rounds for the same cost of 1 10′.
Cell tower is looking at costs for base of tower. No contract has been signed yet. 
Draft of ATV/UTV ordinance was presented. Discussion was held and few changes
will be made before adoption. 
Cason contract will be signed with the exception of services totaling $390.00.
LRIP grant received for High St. Work to be done this summer. 
Sewer main lining will be done on Birch St., Church St., and State Rd. 
Sewer pipe broke near the manhole on Hwy 45. Hanson doing the repairs. 
President Sprague explained the discharge fee from the DNR.
