Why the review of ordinances? Currently we have a combination of new and old, some very old, Village ordinances. As time passes and the years go by, circumstances change and the need for some ordinances as created also changes. Some of our ordinances are more than 20 years old. Because of this, the Ordinance Committee is in the process of reviewing the ordinances. Some have minor changes, some have amendments and some are good just the way they are regardless of when they were written. In the process we are also ensuring uniformity in the format of each ordinance. Ordinances are reviewed by the ordinance committee, if changes are suggested, the committee brings those suggested changes to the board for review and discussion, after which the ordinance is voted on by the entire board.
Receipts were reported for January.
Schmidt/Dombrowski m/s/c to adjourn at 7:50 p.m.
