| PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING MARCH 23, 2020 | |
| A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, March 23, 2020 | |
| at the Matsche Center. | |
| Trustee Ecker was absent. | |
| Also present: Al Peterson & Ed Resch. | |
| President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. | |
| Pledge of Allegiance was recited. | |
| Al Peterson inquired about process to build a garage on his property. | |
| Minutes were read and approved. | |
| Bills were presented. | |
| R. Resch/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes. | |
| Estimate to build platform for bleachers is $9,300.00. Ed Resch is getting an estimate for a 10′ section | |
| of bleachers to put in a different area and possibly sell the old set of bleachers. Surface paving will | |
| be done as soon as possible. Fencing will follow. | |
| Ed Resch spoke with the Bank that has ownership of the Backes Store. They are willing to negotiate | |
| and asked Ed to proceed with getting the hazardous materials testing done. | |
| Resolution and Notice of Intent to discontinue alley was received from Attorney. R. Resch/Schmidt | |
| m/s/c to approve resolution for publication. Roll call vote – all yes. | |
| Trustees Schmidt, R. Resch & Dombrowski met and provided clarification of benefits for Village personnel. | |
| Steps are being taken to provide appropriate COVID requirements for elections and meetings. | |
| Time to get going on finishing up the merry-go-rounds. | |
| New tires are needed for Village pickup. Bids will be gathered. | |
| Neighbors Helping Neighbors program has started. Please check on your neighbors. | |
| Parks committee met on March 10th. Report from the DNR was reviewed and discussed. Short | |
| range goals: Renew fish license, purchase bluegill fish (approximately $500), look into adding trees | |
| and bushes to increase fish growth, create and improve parking and create a walkway/path from | |
| parking to the pond. Long range goals are also needed. | |
| Behm/Schmidt m/s/c to restock pond at approximately $500.00. Roll call vote – all yes. | |
| Next meeting April 13, 2020. | |
