6/14/21 Board minutes

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING JUNE 14, 2021
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, June 14, 2021 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present:Tom Gatz, Luke Reimer, Wayne Clark, Marvin Matsche & Ann Lake
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Wayne Clark stated the American Legion is replacing the cement approach in front of their building and also will be replacing
the sidewalk. He requested specs for sidewalk repair.
Ann Lake and Marvin Matsche asked that the zoning on the property at 361 Wausau St be changed from commercial to residential.
This change will be listed on the agenda for June 28, 2021 and be voted on at that time.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were presented.
Schmidt/E. Resch m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes.
Phone service hook up with Charter is complete.
ARPA funds application is due June 18, 2021.
President Sprague has spoke with the attorney in regard to the American Legion property lines.
Waiting on bid for ball park cement work and Old Village hall steps repair.
North Branch Electric will be wiring the sound system at the Ball Park.
Karen Schairer donated the flowers and Plover Valley 4-H planted them at the Matsche Center.
The electrical service for the pond aerators will be disconnected.
Another dog complaint was received. Chris had spoke with them but now a letter will be sent.
Building permit was received from Dylan Walkush.
Receipts for May were reported.
Next meeting June 28, 2021.

5/24/21 Board minutes

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING MAY 24, 2021
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, May 24, 2021 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present:Tom Gatz & Rueben Eckardt
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Oath of Office was issued to Karl Behm.
Tom Gatz suggested a audio system be installed for those that can’t hear. Board members moved the tables and chairs closer to accommodate.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were presented.
Schmidt/R. Resch m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes.
Fire/Amb. Phone line to be installed this week.
Updating our well houses would be a good use for ARPA funds.
Recycling grant in the amount of $557.13 was received.
Schmidt/Dombrowski m/s/c to invest $100,000.00 of water funds into 2 CD’s. Roll call vote – all yes.
County stated it would cost $6,500.00 for each wheelchair ramp into the ball park. Other sources will be looked at.
Request was made to eliminate parking space at the North corner of Maple/High St. for visibility purposes.
Signs for lights, parking and park rules need to be hung at the ball park. Limestone may be a good option for the path from the back parking lot.
Several residents have building projects in the works and have not obtained building permits. Notices will be sent.
Complaints received in regard to several lawns in the Village that have not been mowed yet.
Committees were reviewed.
Tree trimming needs to be done on some trees that are hanging into the streets.
