Board minutes 4/22/19

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING APRIL 22, 2019
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, April 22, 2019
at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Tom Gatz, Jody Dombrowski,  Ed Resch, Dennis Wruck, Larry & Cathy Kessen,
Chris Jensen, Vicki Wruck, Brian Holbrook & Lawrence Hable.
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m. following the special meeting for assessor’s plat.
Trustee Diers verified that the meeting has been posted. 
Minutes were read and approved.  
Bills were presented.
Schmidt/Behm m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes. 
Suggestion was made to mark off last parking space in front of Jan’s and Main St. to allow for visiability at intersection.
Larry & Cathy Kessen asked for some road repairs to be made on Matthew Dr. 
Jody Dombrowski shared info. on the open meetings law. 
Spring is here and ball park projects need to get underway. 
Discussion was held and decision made to put new merry-go-rounds in Village Park and Birchwood Park.
Diers/R. Resch m/s/c to adopt ATV/UTV ordinance. Roll call vote – all yes. 
Schmidt/Behm m/s/c to hire Shawano County Highway Dept. to do repairs on Cty Rd N and patch blacktopping
for approximately $7,000.00.  Roll call vote – all yes. 
Committees were reviewed and updated. 
Diers/Ecker m/s/c to grant fireworks sale permit to AC Fireworks – Lester Cigel from 5/24-9/8. Roll call vote –
all yes. 
Ecker/Diers m/s/c to grant alcohol license to Birnamwood Baseball Team. Roll call vote – all yes.
Open Book will be held May 15 and Board of Review will be held May 22 from 3:00-5:00 both days.
Board meeting scheduled for May 27th, Memorial Day, will be re-scheduled for Tuesday, May 28th.
Village residents have asked for repairs and resurfacing to be done on the tennis courts.
