PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 10, 2022
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, January 24, 2022 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Tom Gatz, Luke Reimer, Chris Jensen & Bob Zillman
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Bob Zillman filed a complaint in regard to garbage cans being hit by the snow plow.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were presented.
R. Resch/Behm m/s/c to approve bills. Roll call vote – all yes.
Clerk had 24 residents at tax collection and pet licensing on January 22.
President Sprague reported on the employee situation with the Ambulance Dept.
The Dept. is looking to hire 2 full-time employees which will cost all participating
municipalities additional funds. We are required by law to provide services to our
communities and it is getting too difficult to make calls with only volunteers.

Just a note to let you know we added a Projects page to the site (link below) and updated the layout to a one column format. We also updated the menu relocating Documents and Projects as submenu items under Government. Hopefully it will be easier to navigate.

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 10, 2022
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, January 10, 2022 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Luke Reimer, Megan Olson, Chris Jensen, Phil Tautges & Jon Block
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Phil Tautges answered questions in regard to replacing the lights in the Matsche Center.
Schmidt/Behm m/s/c to accept proposal for 120 lights @ $8.00 with labor of $300.00 and an $180.00 refund. Roll call vote – all yes. Thank you to Phil for hanging and taking down Christmas lights.

Bills were presented.

Complaints were received in regard to the abandoned Barbershop.
WW Systems who contracted with us for Tower Space has been purchased by Cirrinity.
An engineer will be visiting tomorrow to discuss issues of the sewer plant.
WWTP assistant committee will be Mike, Don & Ed.
Auditors will be here Monday-Wednesday. ARPA funds can be considered loss revenue
and be used at our discretion.
Clerk has been working with the assessor on many issues, including mobile home park
assessments and taxes.
The Board reviewed the list for 2021 accomplishments and 2022 plans. Jody will update it
and have it posted on the website and it will be included in the next newsletter.
Klumpyan/E. Resch m/s/c to raise hourly pay for snow plowing to $20.00. Roll call vote –
all yes.
R. Resch/Schmidt to change fees for message board to $5.00 a day, $20.00 a week.
Roll call vote – all yes.
Receipts were reported for December.
