PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 10, 2018

A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, December 10, 2018 at the Matsche Center.

All members were present.  Also present: Ed Resch, Jody Dombrowski, Don Schmidt, Tom Gatz & Chris Jensen

President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Minutes were read and approved.

Bills were presented.Burazin/Behm m/s/c to approve bills as presented.  Roll call vote – all yes.

Tom Gatz filed a complaint in regard to how the billing to residents in the assessor’s plat will be billed.

Sewer lining is done.

Continue to look at play ground equipment for the parks.

Waiting on reply from Vertical Bridge for cell tower contract.

Pet ordinance submitted for review.

Samples were submitted of area ATV/UTV ordinances.

Mike Sprague consulted with attorney about meeting postings. We are following correct procedures.

In addition to current postings we can submit agenda to paper for their information but not required to publish for payment.

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 25, 2018

A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, November 25, 2018 at the Matsche Center.

Trustee Burazin was absent.  Also present: Ed Resch, Jody Dombrowski, Don Schmidt, Tom Gatz & Chris Jensen

President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Minutes were read and approved.

Bills were presented. ​R. Resch/Diers m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes.

A map was presented of the new assessor’s plat completed by Cornerstone Surveying.

Discussion was held as to how to divide cost the cost of surveying. Resch/Behm m/s/c to charge 3 lot owner’s who gained nothing $150.00, remaining lot owners will pay $379.00. Roll call vote – all yes.

Sewer lining will be completed this week.

Ecker/C. Resch m/s/c to set local levy at 3.5101. Roll call vote – all yes.

Ecker/Behm m/s/c to approve budget as presented. Roll call vote – all yes.

More discussion was held in regard to allowing ATV’s/UTV’s on Village Streets.  A new ordinance will need to be drawn up.

December 24th meeting will be rescheduled to the 27th.

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 12, 2018

A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, November 12, 2018 at the Matsche Center.

Trustee Burazin was absent.  Also present: Ed Resch, Diane Haas, Jody Dombrowski, Don Schmidt, Rueben Eckardt, Tom Gatz, Vicki Wruck, Bobbi Diers, Roy Safford, Brandi Gutowski, Lawrence Hable & Scott Baseman.

President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Minutes were read and approved.

Bills were presented.  Behm/Diers m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes.

Rueben Eckardt questioned the posting of notices for meetings.

Charlie Brinkmeyer has met with property owners and pipes have been set in assessor’s plot.

Televising of lines started and lining should be done next week.

Prices are being looked at for a merry-go-round for Village Park. Lions Club are looking to build a 16×24 shelter at the ballpark by the playground equipment.

Village Attorney is reviewing the cell tower contract.

Clerk presented the Board with copies of pet ordinances from other municipalities.

Ecker/Behm m/s/c to grant snow removal bid to K & D Construction. Roll call vote – all yes.

From calculations it appears that there is 15,000# of buoyancy in the culverts. We need to fine someone to punch holes in the culverts to help relieve some of the pressure.

7 interested individuals approached the Board in regard to allowing ATV’s/UTV’s on roadways. This issue will be discussed at the next board meeting.

Something needs to be done on the corner of Western and Birch to prevent vehicles from cutting the corner to sharp and driving on homeowners lawn.

Resch/Ecker m/s/c to adopt resolution relating to the collection of state and county taxes by the Village Treasurer. Roll call vote – all yes.

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 22, 2018

A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, October 22, 2018 at the Matsche Center.

All members were present.  Also present: Ed Resch, Diane Haas, Chris Jensen, Jodi Dombrowski & Don Schmidt

President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Minutes were read and approved with correction that Zilisch blacktopping for ballpark is just a bid.

Bills were presented.​Burazin/Behm m/s/c to approve bills as presented.

North Country Landscaping has a suggestion for a new surface instead of blacktop for ballpark walk ways.

Merry-go-round at Birchwood Park has been removed and a new one is needed in Village Park.

Contract for cell phone tower is ready for attorney’s review.

Snow removal bids: K & D Construction – 5 yd. end loader $125 hour, quad dump truck 20 yd. $120 hour, skid steer $95.  Zilisch – quad $75 hour, 3 yd. end loader $85. More info. Is needed from Zilisch.

A ground water problem is forcing culverts up in the drainage ditches by Village Park and  East of Sewer Plant.  One solution would be concrete dividers – 10′ $205, 5′ $165.
