PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 8, 2018

A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, October 8, 2018 at the Matsche Center.

All members were present.  Also present: Tom Gatz, Vicki Wruck, Ed Resch, Lawrence Hable, Richard Leih, Diane Haas, Dennis Rew & Chris Jensen

President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Minutes were read and approved.

Bills were presented.Burazin/Behm m/s/c to approve bills as presented with the exception of Cason & Assoc. Roll call vote – all yes.

Zilisch will do blacktopping at ballpark in the spring, to be completed by April 30th., approximate cost of $9,800.00.

Sewer lining has been moved back to late November.

Check has been received from school for property on State Rd.

Negotiations continue for cell tower.

Insurance quote has been received with an increase of $500.00. Property values need to be reviewed.

Behm/R. Resch m/s/c to approve picnic license for St. Philomena’s Fall Fest. Roll call vote – all yes.

Board Minutes 9/24/18

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 24, 2018

A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, September 24, 2018 at the Matsche Center.

All members were present.  Also present: Don Schmidt, Tom Gatz, Vicki Wruck, Jodi Dombrowski, Ed Resch, Lana & Dennis Wruck, Diane Haas & Keith Sorlie

President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

The python was found under the home.

Minutes were read and approved.

Bills were presented.  ​Burazin/Behm m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes.

A copy of the current pet ordinance was presented to all members to review. Suggestions for changes will be made at the next meeting.

Birnamwood Improvement Club sent a letter advising that they no longer have the funds to have Santa come to town.  Maybe a project for the Lions Club?

Several properties need letters sent for mowing lawns.

Snow removal ad will be published.

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 10, 2018

A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, September 10, 2018 at the Matsche Center.

All members were present.  Also present: Don Schmidt, Tom Gatz, Randy & Vicki Wruck, Lawrence Hable, Sheila Humblet, Lana & Dennis Wruck, Diane Haas, Dennis Rew & Chris Jensen

President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

A report of 2 pythons being housed in the Eastside Trailer park was made and 1 supposedly being missing.

Minutes were read and approved.

Bills were presented.Burazin/Ecker m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes.

Dennis Rew presented the Board with a copy of the survey map for the property on State Rd.

President Sprague received an estimate from K & D Construction for constructing a parking area and pathway at Birchwood Park and covering with gravel at $1,650.00.

Parks Committee reported on concerns found after inspection.

President Sprague and changes made by Cellcom to the former proposal. $600 monthly with $50.00 increase in 5 years, contract reviewed in 30 years.

Equalized values for the Village for 2018 were reported.

Trustee Behm reported that the Lion’s Club will be building a shelter at the ballpark near the playground equipment.

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 27, 2018

A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, August 27, 2018 at the Matsche Center.

All members were present.  Also present: Don & Barb Schmidt, Tom Gatz, Jody Dombrowski, Randy & Vicki Wruck, Ed Resch & Chris Jensen

President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Minutes were read and approved.

Bills were presented.​Burazin/Behm m/s/c to approve bills as presented.

Bids need to be obtained for blacktopping at ballpark.

Surveyor will start on the assessor’s plot after Labor Day.

Sewer lining project has been moved to October.

School surveyor is working on documents.

Basketball hoop is complete.

403 Pearl St. update.

There are still branches hanging over the sidewalk by the bakery and Mrs. Heiny property.

405 Maple has placed a board against fence and a car is parked over lot line.

Don Schmidt submitted a list of projects to be considered for park committee. Sign for  Birnamwood Village Park, trees and merry-go-round replacement. Birchwood Park pond needs restocking of fish/minnows, special needs parking by small shelter, level path/walkway from shelter to edge of pond, pier from path onto pond. Grants my be available and should be researched by committee.

Cellcom has renewed their interest in building a cell phone tower in the Village. President

Sprague reviewed contract conflicts with them.
