PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 13, 2023
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, February 13, 2023 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Tom Gatz, Chris Jensen, Conner Opper, Jason Cieslewicz
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Jason Cieslewicz presented documentation that shows his driveway is actually in Village property lines. Jason and his wife are asking permission to have the cul-de-sac surveyed at their expense and have the western most end of Breezewood Ln annexed to parcel 106-401300030.
Bills were presented.
Schmidt/Behm m/s/c to approve bills. Roll call vote – all yes.
President Sprague submitted the Boards refusal of the offer to buy out the Ground Lease portion of our Contract with Vertical Bridge.
Discussion was held in regard to the Inspection report for the water tower. Cost to clean and repair interior would be $110,000. Cost to power wash the exterior and spot-repair would be $10,500 in conjunction with the interior painting. Cost to repaint the exterior using full containment would be $550,000 to $750,000. These estimates were provided for future reference and budget concerns.
Open Book will be held May 1, 4:00-6:00 p.m. Board of Review will be held May 15, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
President Sprague reported on the meeting held of the BAES. New ambulance would cost
$310,000. We have grant funds of $89,000. Village’s share would be at most $38,000. We can use ARPA funds.
Receipts for January were reported.

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 23, 2023
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, January 23, 2023 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Tom Gatz
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Bills were presented.
R.Resch/Behm m/s/c to approve bills. Roll call vote – all yes.
Final Profit & Loss Budget vs Actual for 2022 was presented.
Jody presented a 2022 year in review & 2023 scheduled projects draft.
Dombrowski/Klumpyan m/s/c to hire General Code for ordinance & zoning upgrade for $9,000.00 and $1,195.00 yearly update. Roll call vote – all yes.
Vertical Bridge has proposed a $90,000.00 buyout of their contract.
Public meeting will be held Thursday, January 26, for EMS funding referendum.
Next meeting February 13, 2023
Primary Election February 21st.

A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, January 9, 2023 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.

President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.

R.Resch/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills. Roll call vote – all yes.
Discussion was held in regard to the condition the Matsche Center is left in between rentals. Clerk will make up a checklist for Chris/Conner to check building after each use.
Additional testing that is required for the sewer plant will cost $1,000+ more each month.
Dates for explanation of election referendum will be January 26 @ 6:30 p.m., February 18 @ 10:00 a.m. and March 22 @ 6:30 p.m.
Klumpyan/Dombrowski m/s/c to adopt resolution of Village Board to exceed levy limit via referendum. Roll call vote – all yes.
Receipts were reported for December.

A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, December 12, 2022 at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Tom Gatz, Justin Olson & Conner Opper
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Justin Olson from General Code presented a proposal for Codification Services.
Bills were presented.
R.Resch/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills. Roll call vote – all yes.
President Sprague reported that requests have been made for a Village Christmas tree.
Check the price for salt/sand mix.
Building permit was received from Tyler Holewinski.
Review committee will meet next Monday.
