12/28/20 Board minutes

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 28, 2020
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, December 28, 2020
at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Ed Resch, Tom Gatz, Chris Jensen, Deputy Chernetski & Jon Block.
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Some cars are still parking in the street right of way. Vehicles will be ticketed.
Minutes were read and approved.
Bills were presented.
R.Resch/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes.
Harter’s Contract has been signed and submitted.
Sale of Store lot to Chet & Emil’s is complete.
The Title Co and Ann Schmidt will to the paperwork for the American Legion property.
Schmidt/Behm m/s/c to cancel contract with Cason and do a 1 year trial of pond maintenance on our own.
Roll call vote – all yes.
Consider doing a windmill extension for another aerator.
BCN contract up for renewal. We will look into getting phone service through Charter. Contact to be made
with school for library and BAES for their lines.
Nomination papers due January 5th.

12/14/20 Board minutes

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 14, 2020
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, December 14, 2020
at the Matsche Center.
Trustees Carol Resch & Karl Behm were absent.
Also present: Ed Resch, Tom Gatz, Chris Jensen & Jon Block.
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Carol Resch has submitted her resignation from the Board.
Minutes were read and approved. 
Bills were presented.
R.Resch/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes. 
A letter will be sent to residents that are parking on the street right-of-way and hindering snow plowing.
The ordinance for hunting in the Village is being reviewed.
The committee met to do Chris Jensen’s review and recommended a 3% increase in wages and the 
ownership of the revolver used for police service. Schmidt/Klumpyan m/s/c to grant Chris Jensen
increase in benefits as presented. Roll call vote – all yes.
Receipts for November were reported.

at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.

President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Minutes were read and approved. 
Bills were presented.
R.Resch/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes. 
Garbage contract was reviewed.
Klumpyan/Behm m/s/c to set levy. Roll call vote – all yes
Behm/Klumpyan m/s/c to adopt budget. Roll call vote – all yes.
Survey map was signed to split 2 parcels in the Village.
Schmidt/Behm m/s/c to adopt amended Snowmobile Ordinance. Roll call vote – all yes.
Building permit was received from Randy Mahan & utility permit for Mike Hable.
Klumpyan/Behm m/s/c to approve purchase of 2021 Dodge truck for $11,700.00 with trade-in. 
Roll call vote all yes with R.Resch voting no.

Board minutes 11/9/20

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 9 2020
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, November 9, 2020
at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Dale Marth-Adv. Disp., Ed Resch, Bob ?, Roger & Judi Hegewald & Tom Gatz
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Question was asked if it is allowable for sales of bear bait at the corner of Hwy 45 & N? It is allowable
as long as highway right of way is observed. 
Minutes were read and approved. 
Bills were presented.
R.Resch/Behm m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes. 
Speed sign reports show that drivers continue to drive above posted limits.
R.Resch/Schmidt m/s/c to accept garbage collection bid from Harter’s Fox Valley Disposal as presented.
Weekly collection, 95 gal. cart, every other week recycling with 95 gal. cart, $12.75 per mo., billed 
quarterly with 5 year contract.  Roll call vote – all yes. 
Ann Schmidt is working on the sale of Backes lot to Chet & Emil’s.
Schmidt/R.Resch m/s/c to donate $100.00 to the “Letters to Santa” event. Roll call vote – all yes.
A record turnout for elections on November 3rd at 375 voters.
Only one bid was received for snow removal. K&D Construction – 5 yd. end loader $125 per hour,
20 yd. quad dump truck $100 per hour, skid steer $95 per hour. Klumpyan/Schmidt m/s/c to
accept bid. Roll call vote – all yes.
Clerk presented preliminary budget considerations and tax levy numbers. 
Receipts for October were reported.
