Board minutes 10/26/20

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 26, 2020
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, October 26, 2020
at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Dale Marth-Adv. Disp., Ed Resch & Tom Gatz
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Discussion was held on garbage collection.
Minutes were read and approved. 
Bills were presented.
Schmidt/Dombrowski m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes. 
A letter will be sent to Advanced Disposal stating we are not renewing our current contract and
are seeking bids for a new contract. 
Backes Store demo is complete. Klumpyan/Behm m/s/c to sell lot to Chet & Emil’s for $18,500.00. 
Roll call vote – all yes with R. Resch & C. Resch abstaining. 
Railroad St./Wausau St. survey is complete. We will contact Ann Schmidt in regard to the sale of
Store lot and updating parcels for park and American Legion.
Sod still needs to be removed along Corazalla Dr.
Jody retyped ordinances for Compression Brakes & Snow & Ice removal. 
Clerk submitted a request from Homestead Church for use of Matsche Center. After discussion
it was decided not to accommodate their request for weekly rental to keep the center available
for community residents.

10/12/20 board minutes

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 12, 2020
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, October 12, 2020
at the Matsche Center.
President Sprague was absent. 
Also present: Dale Marth-Adv. Disp., Judith Welch-Harter’s, Chris Jensen, Miriam Nelson,  
Tom Gatz, Deputy Eric Chernetski & Ed Resch
Ron Resch was appointed to Chair the meeting in President Sprague’s absence.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Garbage collection bids were opened. Review of bids attached. 
Deputy Chernetski stated he would be attending meetings periodically to get input and answer 
questions anyone might have. He will be patrolling the area on a regular basis. 
Minutes were read and approved. 
Bills were presented.
Schmidt/Dombrowski m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes. 
Backes Store demo is in progress.
Railroad St./Wausau St. survey in progress.
The cost for K & D Construction to repair driveway at 455 Main St. was $900.00. 
Behm/Schmidt m/s/c to accept proposal from Zilisch Asphalt to do driveway repair on Birch St.
and 4 patches from culverts on Corazalla Dr. for $5,610.00. Roll call vote – all yes.
Sod needs to be shaved along Corazalla Dr. to help with water flow. 
Request for pictures of cats & dogs to be submitted with license applications.
Schmidt/Klumpyan m/s/c to adopt amended ATV/UTV ordinance.  Roll call vote – all yes.
A building permit was issued to TLC Autobody.
Receipts for September were reported.

9/28/20 Board minutes

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 28, 2020
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, September 28, 2020
at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Diane Haas, Cheleng Lor & Ed Resch.
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Cheleng Lor was interested in how the billing was done for the High St project & wanted to make sure
his driveway is repaired.
Minutes were read and approved. 
Bills were presented.
R.Resch/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes. 
Speed sign reports show that 97% of drivers are speeding.
Joint Powers Agreement with Marathon Cunty was signed.
Stage coach has been installed in Birchwood Parl.
Phase 1 & 2 on Corazalla Dr. is complete. High St. is complete. Matthew Dr. is complete.
Grass will need to be cut back along Corazalla St. for better water flow.
President Sprague presented a new breakdown of the High St. costs. New invoices will be sent
to the affected parties. 
ATV/UTV ordinance was reviewed. Amended ordinance will be signed at the next meeting.
Discussion was held in regard to the delinquent water/sewer accounts.

Village of Birnamwood will have Trick or Treating on Saturday, October 31st, 4:30-7:00 p.m.

This event is not Village sponsored.

If you wish to participate, you must participate at your own risk.

Maintain physical distancing if possible.

Only visit homes with porch lights turned on.

If you have a temperature or any signs of illness, please do not participate.

Board minutes 9/14/20

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 14, 2020
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, September 14, 2020
at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Tom Gatz, Chris Jensen, Bob & Deanna Jensen, Miriam Nelson, Dave & Patti Schwede & Ed Resch.
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Dave Schwede had concerns in regard to the lot lines of the Backes Store property. 
Minutes were read and approved. 
Bills were presented.
R.Resch/Schmidt m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes. 
Schmidt/Dombrowski m/s/c to have Northeast Asphalt blacktop Matthew St. west of Sarah St. 185′ 
when they do the work on High St. for $6,495.00. Motion carried  with R.Resch & Klumpyan voting no.
Behm/Klumpyan m/s/c to add Cty. Hwy. N to ATV/UTV ordinance. Roll call vote – all yes.
R. Resch/Dombrowski m/s/c to adopt Ordinance #20-9-1 to Exempt Village Treasurer from Treasurer’s
Bond. Motion carried with Klumpyan abstaining. 
Behm/Schmidt m/s/c to notify delinquent Water/Sewer customers of the County’s change in procedure
for special assessments and past due balances are now due or water will be shut off. Roll call vote – 
all yes. 
Schmidt/Dombrowski m/s/c to approve Certified Survey Map for 2 lots on 1st Ave. Roll call vote – all yes.
Discussion was held in regard to Trick or Treating. Village will have Trick or Treating on October 31st
from 4:30-7:00 pm. If you wish to participate you participate at your own risk in regard to distributing treats 
or receiving treats. Maintain physical distancing if possible and only visit homes with porch lights turned on. 
Do not participate if you have any signs of illness  or a temperature.  Be safe.
A complaint was received of excessive dog barking at 527A Marcus St. 
Chris Jensen informed the Board of the changes required from the DNR for phosphorous limits in the 
future. An engineer will need to be consulted to find the most cost effective solution for our system.
Receipts were reported for August.
