PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 28, 2019
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, January 28, 2019
at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Tom Gatz, Dennis Wruck, Sheila Humblet, Don Schmidt, Chris Jensen, Ed Resch,
Rueben Eckardt & Jody Dombrowski
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Tom Gatz questioned gas tax applied at Remington Oil as we are tax exempt.
Rueben Eckardt verified that the meeting has been posted. 
Minutes were read and approved.  
Bills were presented.
Burazin/Behm m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes.
Rueben Eckardt mentioned that the top fence rail in the ballpark outfield needs to be capped. 
The aerator pump at Birchwood will not be rebuilt.
Broadband informational meeting will be held February 11, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at the Matsche Center.
Jody Dombrowski contacted Congressman Mike Gallagher and Rep. Mary Felzkowski in regard to 
need for greater accessibility to broadband internet. Both have responded. 
Complaint about dogs running at large from rental properties in the Corazalla subdivision. 
Karl Behm, Carol Resch & Bob Ecker met on January 21st to perform Chris Jensen’s review. They 
recommend a 2.5% raise (.62) retro-active to January 1, 2019. Burazin/R. Resch m/s/c to grant
raise as presented. Roll call vote all yes with Ecker voting no. 
Discussion held in regard to Chris Jensen attending board meetings. Burazin/R. Resch m/s/c
to pay Chris Jensen hourly wages equal to length of meeting. Roll call vote – all yes with Ecker
voting no. 
President Sprague shared a cost estimate per municipality for new fire truck. 
Ice rink is open. Notification is made on sign by rink and website. No ad in paper is necessary.
Fire Department has asked for and will pay for a water meter in the village garage so fire trucks
can be filled from there. 
Fine screen at sewer plant needs replacing in spring.

January 9, 2019 board minutes

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 14, 2019
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Monday evening, January 14, 2019
at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Tom Gatz, Dennis & Lana Wruck, Sheila Humblet, Don Schmidt, Chris Jensen, Ed Resch,
Rueben Eckardt & Gordy Meyer
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Minutes were read and approved.  
Bills were presented.
Lana Wruck stated that her street address does not appear on GPS sites and cannot be found for 
deliveries. A fire number sign will be ordered to be put at the end of her driveway on Elm St. 
Don Schmidt questioned tax rates.
Rueben Eckardt questioned park fees and meeting postings. 
Bills were presented.
Burazin/Behm m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes.

The surveyor placed stakes where residents thought their lot lines were. He will now compare them to the lot descriptions. 
Aerator at Birchwood needs to be rebuilt. Alternative energy sources should be looked at. 
Broadband informational meeting will be held February 11, 2019 at 6:30 pm at the Matsche Center.  All residents are encouraged to attend. 
Final draft of pet ordinance was presented. Ecker/Diers m/s/c to adopt pet ordinance as presented.  Roll call vote – all yes. 
No draft prepared yet for ATV/UTV ordinance.
Review committee did not meet yet. 
Water/Sewer usage tiers have been adjusted as per the PSC. 
President Sprague spoke with the auditors and with the additional funds from the TIF district to offset loan  payments, We should be able to continue with having $30,000.00 worth of sewer lining repairs each year.  Gordy Meyer reported that Village assessments are at 97%, therefore within State guidelines.  He will meet with the clerk to reassess mobile homes. 
Clerk presented copies of final budget totals for 2018. 
Receipts for December were presented.

PROCEEDINGS OF REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 27, 2018
A regular meeting of the Birnamwood Village Board was held on Thursday evening, December 27, 2018
at the Matsche Center.
All members were present.
Also present: Jody Dombrowski, Tom Gatz, Lawrence Hable, Jared Plautz & Chris Jensen
President Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Minutes were read and approved.  
Bills were presented.
Burazin/Ecker m/s/c to approve bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes.
Discussion held in regard to billing of surveyors cost for assessor’s plat. We will need to talk to Charlie Brinkmeyer as to how land was divided. 
Jody Dombrowski submitted information she found about playground equipment.
Cellphone tower contract is still being worked on. Jody Dombrowski shared information she obtained in regard to Broadband services being expanded in Shawano County. She will contact individual from Shawano County to attend January 28th meeting to inform those in attendance. Public will be notified to attend also. 
Final draft of pet ordinance will be submitted and voted on at next meeting. 
ATV/UTV ordinance will be drawn up and reviewed at the next meeting. 
Karl, Carol & Bob will be on the committee to do Chris Jensen’s review. 
Behm/R. Resch m/s/c to allow Clerk/Treasurer to get a new computer and set up for approximately $600.00. Roll call Roll call vote – all yes.
